Singer and mom-preneur, Chilli considers setting a solid example for her 10-year-old son, Tron — and other young people — as part of her destiny. “What I stand for and what TLC stood for was to encourage self-respect and empower others to believe in themselves,” she says. To that end, Chilli spent the summer traveling throughout the country speaking to young girls and mentoring artist hopefuls.

The founder of bagsbychilli.com also gives praise and thanks to the Creator. “For me when you try to live in God’s will, he shows favor, and favor is real. I give him all the praise. God has given me the ability to work hard and to know that regardless of the circumstances, hard work never goes unanswered,” she states.
